Monaco Grand Prix fills Monaco with fans for three days, but the track only runs for a few hours a day. Practice starts around lunchtime, qualifying leaves the morning free and the day after the race is open. This guide fills those gaps.

Know before you go

This is a Sprint weekend: Friday has practice and Sprint qualifying, Saturday has the Sprint race and Grand Prix qualifying, so free mornings are shorter than on a normal weekend.
Trains from Nice run every 15 to 30 minutes and are packed after sessions. Walk to Beausoleil or Cap-d'Ail stations to avoid the queue at Monaco station.
Grandstand and terrace tickets do not include a seat if you leave the zone. Bring water: queues for kiosks are long.

Airport to Circuit de Monaco

Nice airport (NCE) is 30 km away. Bus 110 express takes about 45 minutes; trains from Nice-Ville take 20 minutes; a helicopter takes 7 minutes.

The circuit is the streets of Monte-Carlo. Arrive by train from Nice (20 minutes) or the 607 bus; driving into Monaco on race weekend is close to impossible.
