Miami Grand Prix fills Miami with fans for three days, but the track only runs for a few hours a day. Practice starts around lunchtime, qualifying leaves the morning free and the day after the race is open. This guide fills those gaps.

Know before you go

Miami in May is hot and humid with afternoon storms. Plan beach and boat time for the morning.
South Beach and Brickell hotels are 40 to 60 minutes from the track in race traffic. Fort Lauderdale is a cheaper alternative with similar travel time.

Airport to Miami International Autodrome, Hard Rock Stadium

Miami International (MIA) has the Metrorail to downtown; South Beach is 20 to 30 minutes by car. Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is 45 minutes north.

The circuit wraps around Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, 25 km north of downtown and 30 km from South Beach. Rideshare drop-off zones and shuttle lots fill fast; the Brightline train to Aventura plus the official shuttle avoids the worst traffic.
